The new Haifa port
The establishment of the Gulf Port is part of an overall plan by the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Finance and the Israel Ports Company designed to respond to the needs of the economy in the field of maritime trade, to increase the size of ships and to strengthen Israel's economy which depends on its maritime gateways.
The Aviv Negrin Group took part in the construction of the port docks. The Gulf Port is a port located near the Haifa Port. Pile drilling using the bentonite method with diameters of 110/120 cm to a depth of 47 meters.
Northern shield
Operation Northern Shield was a military-engineering operation of the IDF led by the Northern Command, the Combat Engineering Corps and the Intelligence Division to expose and neutralize terrorist tunnels penetrating the fence, dug by Hezbollah from Lebanon into Israeli territory, on the Israel-Lebanon border.
The operation was conducted between December 4, 2018 and January 13, 2019, during which six offensive tunnels penetrating Israeli territory were located. The Aviv Negrin Group took a substantial part in uncovering the tunnels through drilling by drilling machines with air hammers to depths of 100 meters.
Locating tunnels - Gaza border
Following the threat of the terrorist tunnels penetrating the fence around the Gaza Strip, and a scenario in which Palestinian terrorists would penetrate through them into the territory of Israel, the IDF placed great emphasis on tunnel warfare and in particular on the development of methods and technological means to discover and locate the tunnels.
The Aviv Negrin group collaborated with the Technological Laboratory for the Discovery and Locating of Tunnels, which is a technological unit of the IDF. The work was carried out under threats of fire and attack from the enemy.
Negrin took a substantial part in the construction of the barrier against tunnels on the border of the Gaza Strip, in which sensing means and classified technology are integrated alongside fortifications, a reinforced concrete wall and a wall of shigoms.
