We specialize in core drilling both for taking samples of the pile quality and for testing the rock quality.
The drilling allows the removal of the sample as it is taken from the ground and in a way that preserves its quality using lead tubes with a diamond head and an inner tube that collects the sample. In this method, liquids (water or bentonite) are used to cool the drill head and prevent friction between the soil and the lead pipes. The inner size of the core (webs) is 63.5 mm in diameter and is collected in boxes chronologically from the beginning of the drilling to the end.

The Aviv Negrin Group Ltd. is one of the leaders in the field of drilling in the construction industry in Israel. In the last decade, we carry out an average of over 50 projects a year, among them large, sensitive and security projects - including essential civil infrastructures, the IDF and the Ministry of Defense.
We own three main divisions: dry pile drilling, bentonite drilling and microfilar drilling.
Pile drillings are foundations for a wide variety of structures. Three main methods for drilling piles - dry drilling, drilling with the bentonite method and microfile drilling.
The type of drilling is determined according to the type of soil found at the construction site - rocky soil/sandy soil/groundwater/dry and stable soil.
Drilling using the bentonite method - in soil characterized by sandy layers or in groundwater, drilling will be carried out using this method. During the drilling of the pile, a thick mixture of water and a mineral, bentonite, is used, which is poured into the pile pit according to the rate of drilling, while it becomes viscous and thereby seals the pit and prevents the sides of the pit from collapsing. On the one hand, drilling with this method is complex. On the other hand, this drilling has many advantages such as preserving the quality of the concrete in the pile.
Dry drilling - is a liquid-free method characterized mainly by the creation of piles in stable and dry soils that do not require the use of additional measures. Mostly common in horizontal drilling.
Microfile drilling - drilling with this method is mainly used to create piles in rocky ground. The drilling is done by a machine designed for this, drilled with an air hammer. The rocky ground is part of the foundations of the construction, therefore the diameters of the piles required are small and up to 10" in diameter. Our company carried out these essential works in cooperation with the Israel Defense Forces, and among other things, on the northern border of our country in Operation Northern Shield which took place in 2019.
